Resource Environmental Solutions (RES) is the largest ecological offset provider in the United States. They work to mitigate the impacts of environmental damage by working closely with developers, operators, landowners, and regulatory agencies to create a balance between sustainable economic development and the environment, and providing the tools to create ecological solutions in conservation sites when environmental damages cannot be avoided in the client project.
RES has over 110 mitigation sites in progress, including conservation work in Louisiana watersheds, the creation of a Nursery Park for coastal marshes on the Gulf of Mexico, restoring 195,000 feet of stream in Pennsylvania, and preserving over 3,800 acres of endangered species habitat throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
However, RES helps companies ensure compliance with federal, state, local and cross-jurisdictional regulations, including the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act and the “No Net Loss of Wetlands” policy, to avoid environmental damages in the first place, so mitigation may not even be needed after a construction or development project. RES is a diverse team of biologists, ecologists, GIS specialists, financial analysts, landmen, project managers and business folk—all working together to make the world a better place.
