AgSquared helps farmers get the season started on the right foot with crop planning tools that help farmers plan their planting schedule, calculate their seed order, and map their field layouts. This way farmers can stay on top of their farming tasks all season long with a calendar smart enough to keep their production plans on schedule – even when things don’t go exactly as planned. These simple record-keeping tools help farmers keep track of everything that happens on their farm, and keep their records beautifully organized so that they can always find just what they’re looking for.
The co-founders of AgSquared, Cornell graduates Jeff Froikin-Gordon and Giulia Stellari, were inspired to start the company after their agricultural research showed them that sustainability is not just a buzz-word, but rather a key concept that if embraced can help ensure the continued vibrancy of small scale farms around the world. Through their travels and many conversations with farmers, they began to zero in on a missing link in the sustainability equation – easy-to-use tools for successful farm planning, management and record keeping. Seeing so many farmers who, amidst the controlled chaos of a farming season, remain deeply committed to improving their practices, and yet still struggle to learn from their successes and failures, inspired them to tackle this problem and build AgSquared.
