Earthgarage: Greener car, fatter wallet

EarthGarageDoes your car need an oil-change, new brake pads, or even just a tune-up? If you are in the Connecticut or New Jersey area, stop in at a certified Earthgarage Dealer.  Earthgarage is a company that has tools and tips for how to make your car more efficient, and save money on typical repairs.  The website provides green driving tips and green servicing options.

This site is a great resource if you want to lower the impact on the environment that you create from driving your car. On the website there is a link to the “Give Water a Brake” petition. This petition demands that copper is no longer put in brake pads in the entire US and Canada. When brakes are used small amounts of copper dust comes off of the brake pads. The copper gets into water ways and can be devastating for fish such as salmon. By taking copper out of brake pads, we could prevent the death of many species of anadromous fish (born in fresh water, spends most of its life in the sea and returns to fresh water to spawn).

If you own or work at a garage, consider becoming a certified dealer so you can help others make less of an impact! This company will help you discover the amazing geographies of our world with a smaller impact.
