Many who were inspired by the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse can use this map as a guide to the best places for viewing the next solar eclipse over North America. Durations of totality are shown labeled on isolines within the path of totality. Degrees of maximum partial eclipse (obscuration) are shown outside the path of totality. Isochrones give the times of greatest eclipse through North America.
