AGS Councilor Faye Cuevas is playing a critical role in the “TenBoma” initiative, a project developed through the International Fund For Animal Welfare (where Ms. Cuevas works), and several NGO and national agencies in Kenya to both promote conservation of African wildlife, and combat terrorism…all while enabling conversation and
cooperation between actors across these lines of issues. In Kenya, poaching and terrorism are often linked, fueling extremism throughout the region and posing a threat to already endangered wildlife.

Ms. Cuevas joined PIXIA Corporation from the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of General Counsel where she was an Associate Deputy General Counsel representing the DoD position in Guantanamo Bay detainee writ of habeas corpus litigation. In addition to being an attorney, Faye is an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force Reserves assigned to Special Operations Command-Africa. She is currently a lieutenant colonel with over 17 years of experience in the field of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations primarily in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF).
